Bauxite Sand is a special foundry molding sand for iron and steel casting. Its spherical particle shape guarantees very good flowability. Due to its special surface structure, the binder/hardener demand can be reduced compared to other molding sands. Bauxite Sand has a very good refractoriness of up to 1800°C and a low thermal expansion.
