Pig Iron is a metallic material produced from iron ore in blast furnaces. It is characterized by its high strength and hardness, which makes it valuable in structural steel production and in the foundry industry. Pig Iron is an alloying material consisting mainly of iron and carbon, but may also contain small amounts of other alloying elements such as silicon and manganese. It is the precursor to steel and cast iron and is used in various industries to make products such as structural steel beams, pipes, automotive parts and tools.
