Silicon Metal, also called metallic silicon or silicon, is a chemical element with the symbol Si and the atomic number 14 in the periodic table. It is a semimetal that often occurs in nature in the form of silicon dioxide (SiO2), but it can be extracted into pure silicon metal by various industrial processes.
