Tabular Alumina is a re-crystalline sintered alpha alumina with high density. It consists of large (50 – 200 µm), flat, table-shaped corundum crystals.

Applications in the refractory industry include shaped and unshaped products, such as bricks or specially shaped products e.g. sliding gates, porous plugs for steel ladles and shaped products for the glass industry.
