Brucite

Brucite is also referred to as magnesium hydroxide when it exists in its synthetic or chemical form. Magnesium hydroxide is an inorganic compound that occurs in the form of a white powder. It is characterized by its ability to neutralize acids, so it is used in the chemical industry as a neutralizing agent and in the pharmaceutical industry as an antacid to reduce stomach acid. Magnesium hydroxide also has fire-retardant properties and is used in the plastics and electronics industry as a flame retardant. Additionally, it is occasionally employed in the cosmetics and skincare industry for its soothing properties.
